Then and Now- Salted Caramel

Hi guys!

Hope you had a wonderful week. Although the flu got me down for a few days, I was overjoyed to share an evening of catch-up, cupcakes and Champagne with the lovely Sarah Cargill. Sarah is the talented author of basilxpepper as well as an entrepreneur, fashionista, fellow foodie and all-round fantastic friend. One of my favorite co-workers has been badgering me for a batch of Salted Caramel cupcakes, and I thought this would be the perfect week to do a then and now. Here’s then-

I smile on these with such affection because I remember being so proud about how they turned out. I have learned SO much since then, cupcake related and otherwise and am stoked to compare the two. Please reference here for the recipe, and enjoy the photos below πŸ™‚

As you can see, we enjoyed Ruffino as well, a ProseccoΒ from an area which I’ve profiled here. Light and tropical, it worked well, especially because I will say these cupcakes had a bit more salt in them than I anticipated. Regardless, especially after a January long dairy, grains, sugar and alcohol free cleanse, it was JUST what the doctor ordered. Sarah wrote a beautiful profile of my goals and interests here.
